Welsh form of Irish Oisin, from os, "deer" — little deer. Oisin was the poet son of Fionn mac Cumhaill in Irish legend.
Osian was given to 165 babies in England and Wales in 2025. Its best year was 2022, with 178 registrations. The name is absent from American records, so there is no US curve to compare it against.
